SimpleUpdates.com streaming will allow you to share your live events with people around the world directly from your website. Our video stream serves a dedicated flash stream for website visitors, and a dedicated iOS mobile device friendly stream. With one encoder session, you are able to serve all of your audience in all platforms. Your media can be embedded in a website, and streamed to mobile devices.

We use a Content Delivery Network (CDN) with points of presence around the globe. Your video message will be easily received no matter how close or far your audience is located from you. This means that we do not use one server to send out the media to your audience, but a network of servers with excellent scalability.


Getting Started is Easy!

After you signup for this service, we will send you some materials that will help you get started:
  1. A welcome email with your streaming account user name and password. These credentials are needed to authenticate the encoder to the server.
  2. An encoder profile as an attachment, which will configure your encoder with the proper server connection settings.
  3. An html file as an attachment containing the embedded webpage player and iOS link.
There is a one-time setup fee of $85 to configure the server and create the above resources custom to your new stream. Additional support hours are available for one-on-one tweaking your stream as you may need. We can walk you through the entire process, and help test your environment for the best stream quality that can be sent out from your internet connection. We offer live phone support for as much assistance as you would like at $85 per hr.


Media Streaming Packages

SimpleUpdates media streaming packages include the option for both live and archived streaming. Below are two tables that will help clarify the offerings. Purchasing the "Entry Level" package for one cost gives the user BOTH live and archived streaming capability.

The bandwidth threshold is the combination of all data transferred from your account: Live and Archived media files.

The streaming service is available 7x24. Overages are billed in $10 blocks which includes: +5 gigs of file storage and +10 gigs of bandwidth. For the setup of a live stream connection, there is a one-time setup fee of $85 per hr, with a minimum charge of one hour. Archived media accouts require a SimpleUpdates or affiliate powered website to store the media.


Campmeeting and Convention Live Streaming Packages

We can fit week long meetings, conventions etc, into the mid level or high level packages above based on expected users and streaming bandwidth. We will bill the package and overage actually used. There is a one-time setup fee of $85 per hr, as you need to setup and tweak your stream, with a minimum of one hour. (Note we are working on a package price arrangement for convention streaming. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are there any ads in our stream?
A: NO ads! The only thing that is viewed is what you send to the server via your encoder.

Q: Do you limit the number of viewers that can watch a stream?
A: We do NOT limit your viewing audience. Your stream has the full power to reach as large an audence as you have available. We only charge by the bandwidth used.

Q: What happens if I signup for an Entry Level package, and the audience grows over time to be a Mid Level package?
A: We will bill your selected package plan and add overages are billed at $10 per +5 gigs of file storage and +10 gigs of bandwidth. You can update your subscription to a higher streaming package, with its volume cost savings, at any time for the upcoming billing cycle.

Q: Where do we upload our archived media files?
A: Upload them to your SimpleUpdates powered website in the "media" folder. You will have to link to them manually to a video player. We are planning a media management module to make this easy in the future.
