Your website. A whole new foundation.
Keep the website you know. Move it to the SimpleUpdates we've spent the last two years building.
- Your site comes with you
- same design, same pages, same words
- Nothing to relearn
- you still edit right on the page
- We do the move
- and we tell you the date beforehand
Your website still works. The ground underneath it has moved.
The platform your site runs on was built for the web of ten years ago. It has served you well, and we've kept it running. But everything new we build now gets built on the new foundation, and that's where it's going to stay.
- It's current. New PHP, a modern database layer, faster pages, better security — the unglamorous work that decides whether a site is still standing in five years.
- It's where the new work lands. Updated widgets, newer themes, the store, donations, payment-enabled forms, proper domain and mailbox management. All of it is on the new platform.
- It keeps moving. We ship to it most weeks. The old platform gets security fixes; this one gets features.
You don't have to move today. Your site keeps running on the plan and price you're on now until you choose otherwise. But the longer the gap gets, the more of the new work you're reading about and not using.
No. That's the point.
Your design, your pages and your words move across as they are. The site your visitors see on the morning after the move looks like the site they saw the night before.
If you'd like it to change, that's a separate conversation and a good one to have — but it isn't part of this.
No. You'll recognise it immediately.
You still log in, click into a page and edit it where it sits. The admin is tidier and quicker, and some things you used to ask us to do you can now do yourself — but nothing you already know has been taken away.
If something has moved, ask us. We'd rather spend five minutes on the phone than have you hunting.
The things customers ask us for, already built.
Sell, collect and raise money
A real store with checkout and shipping. Donations, one-off or recurring. And forms that take a payment — registrations, application fees, deposits, dues — which is the one most people don't realise they already need.
Newer widgets and modules
Galleries, calendars, media, testimonials, staff directories, bookings. Rebuilt, faster, and they look right on a phone without you thinking about it.
Domains, email and billing in one place
Register and point a domain, create mailboxes, see your invoices, change your plan. No separate registrar login, no separate mail host, no support ticket to add an address.
A fresh look, if you want one
New themes you can switch to without rebuilding the site. You don't have to redesign when you upgrade — but for the first time in a while, you could.
Pick the plan that matches what you actually use.
Month to month, or pay yearly and get two months free. Every plan includes a custom domain and mailboxes, which older plans billed you for separately — so compare the whole bill, not just the line item.

Useful. Not the reason to move.
The AI Assistant sits in your admin and does the jobs people put off: writing a page you've been meaning to add, rewording a section that never read well, filling in the parts of a page you left blank.
It works on your actual site — your pages, your widgets, what's already there — rather than handing you generic text to paste in. You approve everything before it's published.
You can upgrade and ignore it entirely.
Everything else on this page is there whether or not you ever open the assistant. It's included on the top plan and an add-on below that, and we'd rather you moved for the foundation and tried the AI later than the other way round.
We're still rolling it out. Tell us on the form if you want it switched on when it reaches you, and we'll make sure you're in the first group.
Four steps, and only one of them is yours.
You ask
The form at the bottom of this page. Takes a minute. Nothing is committed by filling it in.
We look at your site
We go through what you've got — pages, forms, products, mailboxes, domains — and come back with what moves across cleanly, anything that needs a decision, and what your new bill would be.
We build the copy and you look at it
Your site goes up on the new platform at a temporary address. You click around it, on your own time, and tell us what's wrong. Your live site is still untouched at this point.
We switch it over
On a date you've agreed, usually outside your busy hours. Your domain and email keep working throughout. If something's wrong we can put it back.
The questions everybody asks
Will my site go down?
The switch itself is a DNS change, so there's no window where your site is missing — visitors move from the old server to the new one as their network catches up. Your email keeps running the whole time. We do it on an agreed date, and we can put it back if something's wrong.
What happens to my email addresses?
They come across. If you're using mailboxes we host, we move them and you keep the same addresses and passwords. If your mail is somewhere else, we leave it exactly where it is and point the new site around it.
Will my search rankings suffer?
Your pages keep their addresses, so links and rankings carry over. Where something has to move, we redirect the old address to the new one rather than letting it go dead.
What about everything I've collected — form entries, orders, members?
Tell us what matters and we'll move it. Some things come across automatically; a few older bits need a decision about what's worth keeping. That's part of what step 2 is for.
How long does it take?
Most sites are a week or two from "yes" to switched over, and almost none of that is your time. Bigger sites with a store or a lot of history take longer, and we'll tell you which one yours is.
What does it cost to move?
Nothing for the move itself. You pay the new plan from the day you switch over, not before, and we'll have told you what that is in writing beforehand.
Can I stay where I am?
Yes, and nothing changes if you do — same plan, same price, same site. We'll keep it secure. But the new features are on the new platform, and that's where they'll stay.
I don't want to redesign. Do I have to?
No. Moving and redesigning are two different jobs, and most people do the first one now and think about the second one later.
Same website. Ground that holds.
